Downtown Transportation Master Plan

The City of Greenville has experienced significant growth over the past few decades and is continuing to see an influx of downtown residential and commercial development.

Because an efficient transportation system is a critical component of Greenville’s future, the City, in partnership with the Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study, is developing a Downtown Transportation Master Plan to identify strategies that will improve mobility, traffic circulation and safety.

The study area includes the Central Business District (CBD), as well as major corridors that feed into downtown. The master plan will incorporate alternate modes of transportation and will include both a short-term plan for improvements that can be made within two to five years and a long-term plan for the safe and efficient movement of traffic over the next 10 years and beyond.
