Getting there is more than half the battle. Whether it's navigating a sloped terrain, a cracked sidewalk, stairwell or a construction project, for our residents and visitors with disabilities a date night or family outing can be complicated and frustrating.
AccessGVL.com is here to help.
Born out of a desire to remove barriers for people with disabilities and in partnership with the Barbara Stone Foundation's Greenville CAN initiative, the City of Greenville is proud to offer a comprehensive guide to improve customer experience.
AccessGVL is an interactive web-based map and database which provides information about the accessibility of downtown restaurants, parking options, and routes from city-owned parking garages to participating restaurants. Giving diners confidence that they can easily reach their table and get to the restrooms.
We're just getting started with AccessGVL. A second phase of the project will expand the restaurant listings, add retail locations downtown, and improve screen reader options.
