NOTICE

Effective immediately the City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department will be suspending all youth and adult athletic and recreational programs and events as well as facility rentals to ensure the safety of our participants, families, and staff. 

City of Greenville Expands Closures: Recreation Facilities/Programs, Athletic Facilities/Programs,  Greenville Zoo, Park Events/Permits, Park Shelter Rentals, Courts: Tennis/Basketball/Volleyball, Playgrounds and Fitness Stations will be closed. City is taking steps for our community to minimize opportunities to spread COVID-19.

Parks and Trails will remain open. We encourage social distancing while enjoy public property.

Athletics

Athletics offers a variety of programs for youth and adults seasonally. Programs are facilitated in a fun, safe, and positive environment. Participants will focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our programs will build self confidence and self esteem as well as provide opportunities to grow.

Community Centers 

The City of Greenville operates six community centers located throughout Greenville with programs and services for preschoolers to senior adults. Children, youth, and their families have numerous opportunities to participate in a variety of classes, fitness opportunities, cultural arts, after school, and summer programs.

Recreation Programs are offered city wide. Recreation Programs coordinate with partners to promote various and diverse parks, amenities, events, and programs. Our goal is to work proactively to establish partnerships to further advance the mission of the City and Department.
